BriSCA Onboard Footage Compilation DVD, April – June 2017
Raising funds for the 2017 Under 25’s Championship Race Prize Fund.
Working in my role with the production team for the Premier Sports TV coverage of the sport, by fitting onboard cameras each week, to bring different angles of the action, I am often asked by the drivers if they could get a copy of the footage from the cameras that I place on their cars. I am only too happy to provide them with the footage because without their cooperation, we simply would not be able to put the cameras on each week and the TV programme would not be as dynamic without the onboard footage. So I have edited together a compilation DVD containing footage that was requested by the drivers and a great selection of other footage to make a 2 hour 10 minute DVD of onboard footage, playable on a standard DVD player.
I have given each driver that features on the DVD a complimentary copy of the DVD as a thanks for their continued support in having the cameras on their cars each week.
As per last year, I am offering copies of the DVD for sale for £5.00 with £2.00 from each sale going to the Under 25’s Championship Race Prize Fund. It is a great way to put something back into the sport for the drivers to benefit from and the remainder covering costs of the DVD’s and replacing damaged camera housings and clamp parts that often break under the strain of our full contact sport.
The DVD features 27 separate chapters which have been edited to remove the yellow flags etc and each has had text added at the start of the chapter so you know whose car and what race it was from. The cameras are either facing forward from different locations on the chassis, including under the front bumper, rearwards facing, wing mounted, and one looking at the front steering working. There are also footage from in car watching the drivers at work. Some chapters are edited clips and others feature complete races from the onboard camera’s perspective.
